There are more than 683,000 volunteers in the San Diego region, ranking us 12th among the nation’s 51 largest metropolitan areas. These volunteers support thousands of community organizations and government agencies. As you know, community service plays an essential role in the vitality of our neighborhoods and positively contributes to the health and prosperity of our region. Volunteers could not be successful in their roles without the support of Volunteer Administrators working behind the scenes to champion community engagement and effectively recruit, place, train and motivate volunteers.
The Volunteer Administrators Network (VAN) and Cultural Volunteer Managers Council (CVMC) will be presenting the following awards at the spring 2013 Volunteer Administrators Celebration:
■ Volunteer Administrator of the Year (.docx)
■ Rookie Volunteer Administrator of the Year (.docx)
Please take the time to nominate a deserving candidate. Organizations or individuals may submit a nomination. Individuals may also nominate themselves.
Awardees will be selected by a committee made up of leaders in the volunteer community and from the community at large. The recipients will be presented with their awards, and all nominees will receive certificates of recognition, at an event scheduled for spring 2013.
